I'm okay to assume that I can calculate on cells which themselves contain calculations?
This would be the important element of Abacus for me as, at present, we're doing
everything manually which, apart from being time-consuming, also leaves
room for human error.
Sounds like the answer to my prayers and I'll get my order placed as
soon as possible.

Yes I believe you can but you may need to watch the order in which the calculations are made. You may have to activate the calculations manually - still beats working them out manually.
But I think you may get into trouble if you try to calculate everything automatically. Depends on what your calcualtions are like.

Apologies for the delay in thanking you for your input, all working beautifully and you're right, certainly does beat the old manual calculation.
