Abacus does not create any files in temporary folder. All calculations are performed "on the fly".
Abacus is extremely fast in calculations - we have client who runs Abacus calculations on very large database (20000 contacts).
As for formulae conversions : unfortunately there is no automatic conversion available - all formulas should be entered in Abacus manually.
