Question about Alarms based on an expired date

I am going to purchase your calculation program for ACT! but would like to also know
if you have anything that can do the following:
Pop-up an alarm based on a field box's date such as a deadline
date. For Ex. We set a deadline for a project in a custom field and when
that date has expired, Act will either task or alarm an assigned user to
take action.
We are using Act for web Version: 8.0.2.42 and will be upgrading to the
latest version by years end.

I recommend you to use "Dynamic Field Color" add-on.
You can program formula and assign it to your custom field.
The add-on will highlight your field (lets say by red color) when the date has expired.

Actually you can assign any formula and apply any highlighting rules you want.
